Not good at this

Obviously I am not posting daily.  Been hectic.  Went to St. Augustine, FL for a week.  We love it there.  Recently had a PET scan and it was CLEAR!  I am so happy about that.  I will continue with light treatment for now and allow my body to continue to recover from chemo.  It is fall again, the trees are beginning to turn and it is cooler.  As I lay in bed today before getting up I realized, as any cancer patient does, it is just good to be alive.  I laid there listening to sounds: the ceiling fan, the school bus, the garbage truck, the birds, the clothes washer and dryer and the sound of my purring cat and how the sounds all mesh together and how lucky I am to hear them.  I miss my daughter terribly while she is away from college but she will be home for fall break next weekend.  I am reading the book "The Story of Edgar Sawtelle" and I absolutely love it.  Hard to put down.  Well, I will try to be better at this but will close for now as a new episode of "Wife Swap" is on and I love to watch people make fools of themselves.

Just found out about this and decided to start a blog or a daily diary.  Today Mike and I went to Emory to listen to a lecture given by my doctor, Dr. Lechowicz.  The lecture discussed treatment options for my type of cancer.  I enjoyed the lecture but Mike felt it was a little above his knowledge of my disease (a lot of medical jargon which through research I have learned about).  Since this is about me I will try not to post anything about the experiences of my family since it is personal to them.  I have a daughter who I miss terribly and who is away at college.  I speak to her atleast once a day.  After Emory we ran the errands you can only take care of on weekends.  Since I really don't know much about blogs, I will end here.
